This is a lighthearted, fun novel about Bella Rossi, her family, her business as a wedding planner and her adventures/misadventures as such. A wonderful story of love, ‘war’, and more set in Galveston Island Texas and Slendora Texas.
Fools Rush In was such a delight to read I read it in one night and found myself having to quiet a giggle or laugh several times.
It is written in first voice, with Bella being the speaker. She has a large Italian family most of whom live in the same house, a tiny dog with a large attitude, an ex boyfriend, a new friend who makes her heart flutter and her head swim, his wonderful family, and the members of Chapel of the Pines. There are so many colorful characters, moments of inspiration, and fun in this book that the pages seem to fly by.
Janice Thompson is a writer with a serious sense of humor if Fools Rush In is any indication of the way she thinks.
There are a few developments that Janice writes into the storyline that don’t sound very realistic, like what happens to the florist during her visit to Montana near the end of the book, but this book is so much fun, it really doesn’t matter.
If you are looking for a lighthearted, quick, fun, uplifting read, then this book is a must read.
